путеводитель по атомной Москве
20 августа 1945 года считается днем рождения советской атомной промышленности. В этот день были созданы Первое главное управление при Совете народных комиссаров СССР, на которое возложили вопросы обеспечения советского атомного проекта, и комитет для руководства работами по использованию атомной энергии. Комитет был секретным, а возглавлял его лично Лаврентий Берия. С тех пор атомная промышленность развивает науку и технологии, обеспечивает энергией города. Долгое время отрасль была одной из самых закрытых, а о ее достижениях не принято было говорить. Тем не менее работа кипела: и по всей стране, и в столице советского государства. В честь 80-летнего юбилея мы составили путеводитель по атомной Москве и рассказали о ее знаковых местах.

Уже больше 65 лет отечественной атомной промышленностью управляют из штаб-квартиры на Большой Ордынке. Сегодня «Росатом» — это 440 тысяч специалистов, которые задействованы во множестве направлений: медицины, квантовых технологий, электродвижения.
Но вернемся к зданию на Ордынке. Самая высокая на тот момент постройка в сердце старинного района Замоскворечье появилась в 1957 году. Монументальное здание в стиле сталинского классицизма даже прозвали «замоскворецким великаном». А еще «великан» получил единственный на всей улице сквер с липами и каштанами.
Мы уже говорили, что атомная отрасль была одной из самых закрытых в стране. На здании на Большой Ордынке долгое время отсутствовала вывеска, и лишь часовые у подъезда указывали на особую важность организации.
Несмотря на секретность, которой было овеяно все то, что происходило на Большой Ордынке, имена руководителей атомной отрасли были известны. На протяжении почти 30 лет ей руководил Ефим Славский. В одной из американских газет как-то появилась карикатура: управленец сидел на крыше здания Минсредмаша (позднее — Минатома). Сегодня в сквере перед главным входом стоит памятник Славскому, а его бывший рабочий кабинет № 342 превратился в музей. Здесь представлены личные вещи и рукописи Большого Ефима, как за глаза называли легендарного министра.

Кстати, про Славского и секретность. Его внук вспоминал, что у деда никогда не было личной охраны.

«Домой и на работу его возил водитель на персональной машине. Вообще, дед был очень скромный человек. Личного автомобиля никогда в жизни не было. Как и личной дачи. Зато был дом отдыха в Опалихе, который он построил для соратников — работников атомной отрасли. С кинозалом, спортзалом, теннисными кортами, садами — фруктовыми и ягодными. Не многие знают, но район Щукино исторически связан с развитием атомной промышленности и науки. В конце 1940-х годов он вошел в состав Москвы, а в 1943 году сюда из Казани, где физики работали в эвакуации, переехала Лаборатория № 2, которой руководил Игорь Курчатов. Ее основной задачей стала разработка ядерного оружия.
Игорь Курчатов — отец советской атомной бомбы и один из основоположников использования атомной энергии в мирных целях. В 1932 году он возглавил лабораторию по изучению атомного ядра в ленинградском ЛФТИ, созданную по инициативе академика Иоффе, а 10 марта 1943 года стал научным руководителем работ по использованию атомной энергии. Ему предоставили чрезвычайные полномочия и поддержку правительства СССР.
Сотрудники Лаборатории № 2 буквально жили и работали в ней. В 1944 году ученым-физикам выделили участок, где начали строить корпуса будущего Курчатовского института, а в 1946-м на территории академгородка по проекту архитекторов мастерской Алексея Щусева возвели здание, где располагался реактор Ф-1. Как раньше, так и сейчас попадали в него через подземный тоннель. 25 декабря 1946 года здесь провели первый пуск реактора и зафиксировали самоподдерживающуюся управляемую цепную ядерную реакцию. За пультом был сам Курчатов, а вместе с ним — четверо его помощников. В реакторе Ф-1 впервые в СССР получили значительные, так называемые весовые, количества плутония. В природе он не встречается, его нужно получать искусственно, длительно облучая мощными потоками нейтронов значительные количества урана.

Главная задача, поставленная перед Лабораторией № 2, была решена за шесть лет. 29 августа 1949 года на Семипалатинском испытательном полигоне в Казахстане прошло успешное испытание советской атомной бомбы. Под руководством Курчатова был создан ядерный щит страны, а монополия США на владение атомным оружием закончилась.

После Лаборатория № 2 занималась тем, в чем Курчатов видел больше пользы и смысла, чем в создании атомного оружия. Это был поиск вариантов использования атомной энергии в мирных целях. В сферу интересов ученого и его сотрудников попали флот, летательные аппараты, космос.

Лаборатория № 2 просуществовала до 1949 года. После ее переименовали в ЛИПАН — Лабораторию измерительных приборов академии наук СССР. В 1956 году ЛИПАН была преобразована в Институт атомной энергии, а в 1960-м, сразу после смерти Игоря Курчатова, — в Институт атомной энергии его имени.
Есть на территории института еще один примечательный объект — дом Курчатова, построенный в 1946 году по проекту Ивана Жолтовского. До 1969 года в нем жила супруга академика, а 12 января 1970 года здесь открыли мемориальный музей.

Сегодня в нем можно увидеть воссозданный кабинет ученого с его рабочим столом, лампой, обширной библиотекой. Можно представить, как жила семья, как смотрела ламповый телевизор, как каталась на деревянных лыжах, которые сохранились до наших дней.

Кроме дома-музея Курчатова посетить можно и детский технопарк, который открылся на базе Курчатовского института в 2018 году. Здесь оборудованы современные лаборатории и классы для изучения физики и химии, энергетики и экологии. Также в составе экскурсии школьники могут осмотреть исторические объекты на территории института.

«Дом-корабль», «Титаник», «лежачий небоскреб» — как только не называли постройку, возведение которой началось на Большой Тульской в 1972 году. За проект отвечала мастерская № 13 «Моспроекта», которая также работала над обликом Даниловской площади, и ее архитекторы Владимир Бабад и Всеволод Воскресенский. Они задумали колоссальный для того времени дом — длиной почти в полкилометра. Отсюда и ассоциация с небоскребом, который поставили не вертикально, а как будто уложили на бок.

Строительство «дома атомщиков», а именно для сотрудников Министерства среднего машиностроения, занимавшегося атомной промышленностью СССР, здесь предназначались квартиры, продолжалось до 1986 года. Причем, когда первые жильцы уже въезжали в крайние подъезды, в центральной части только возводили нижние этажи.

В доме на Большой Тульской было редкое для тех лет двухуровневое жилье — на 12-м и 14-м этажах. А стены в квартирах ставили под углами 87 и 93 градуса, что сделало здание сейсмоустойчивым. Владимир Бабад раньше занимался строительством атомных реакторов и перенес референсы на вверенный ему дом. А городская легенда до сих пор гласит, что постройка выстоит даже в условиях атомной войны.

От штаб-квартиры «Росатома» на Большой Ордынке до дома на Большой Тульской можно дойти буквально по прямой за 30‒40 минут. Кстати, еще одно прозвище здания — «дом холостяков». Неженатым атомщикам тут давали однокомнатные квартиры площадью 36 м кв.

Возводить атомные электростанции за рубежом, в странах Варшавского договора, Советский Союз начал с 1960-х годов, всего через несколько лет после пуска первой в мире Обнинской АЭС. Сегодня «Атомстройэкспорт» (АСЭ, управляющая компания Инжинирингового дивизиона «Росатома») строит атомные станции в России и за рубежом. Компания занимает первое место в мире по портфелю заказов и количеству одновременно сооружаемых АЭС. Порядка 80% выручки дивизиона составляют именно зарубежные проекты. А штаб-квартира компании располагается на Дмитровском шоссе, 2.
О здании известно не так много. Его возвели в конце 1970-х для ЦНИИАТОМИНФОРМ. Организацию учредили в 1967 году с целью разработки и внедрения отраслевой автоматизированной системы управления на базе первых ЭВМ, а также для сбора, хранения и анализа информации в области атомной науки и техники — как отечественной, так и зарубежной. АСЭ переехал на Дмитровское шоссе в 2010 году, и с тех пор его сотрудники работают отсюда.

Отличительная черта здания АСЭ — декоративная композиция у входа. Она изображает модель атома в разрезе и перфоленту, применявшуюся в вычислительных машинах до изобретения дискеты.

НИЯУ МИФИ — главная кузница кадров атомщиков. В том числе и тех, кто сегодня работает над инновациями в медицине, квантовыми вычислениями, атомной энергетикой будущего. А началась история Национального исследовательского ядерного университета в ноябре 1942 году. Правда, тогда он назывался Московским механическим институтом боеприпасов. Первые занятия в здании на Мясницкой улице (тогда улице Кирова) в знаменитом доме Юшкова начались 1 января 1943 года. А уже в 1944-м состоялся первый выпуск специалистов.

Свое нынешнее название МИФИ получил в 1953 году, а все факультеты института стали ориентированы на подготовку специалистов атомной энергетики и оборонной промышленности. А 18 августа 1954 года по распоряжению Совета министров СССР было принято решение о строительстве нового комплекса МИФИ на Каширском шоссе. Свои двери для студентов он открыл в 1962 году.

В здании МИФИ внимание на себя обращают мозаики, над которыми работали художники Михаил Шварцман и Григорий Дауман и мозаичисты Иван Секретарев и Борис Корин. Изображения архаичны, с математической «клинописью», намеком на иероглифы, от них веет мощью. Сюжет при этом ультрасовременный: обуздание древней, скрытой энергии, строительство на ее основе нового мира и новой науки на службе человеку.

На одном из панно можно увидеть «атомного коня», который позже стал символом и логотипом МИФИ. «Укрощение атома» отсылает к укрощению сил природы человеком.

Музей «АТОМ» на ВДНХ открылся в конце 2023 года. Он расположен в одной из ключевых точек главной выставки страны: на Центральной аллее около площади Промышленности. «АТОМ» стал самым глубоким зданием на ВДНХ. Три из семи его этажей расположены под землей, самый нижний на глубине 16 метров. Строители в шутку называли их не «подземными», а «подводными», так как они располагаются на месте бывшего русла реки Каменки.

Над проектом павильона работало бюро UNK project во главе с Юлием Борисовым. Архитекторы придумали сделать стеклянные стены, и получилось самое большое остекление в стране — площадь фасадов равна площади двух баскетбольных площадок.

В «АТОМЕ» разместилась крупнейшая в России экспозиция, посвященная атомной энергии: от начала советского атомного проекта и до наших дней. Площадь музея — более 25 тысяч квадратных метров, а вместить он может более 2 тысяч человек одновременно.

Знакомство с экспозиционными зонами «Советский атомный проект» и «Время мечтать» начинается под землей. Эмоционально и тематически это самые насыщенные разделы: от первой атомной бомбы до первой АЭС.

Залы на первом наземном этаже представляют технологии и сферы деятельности, доступные нам сегодня: ядерную медицину, обработку продуктов питания. Также здесь расположена карта глобального присутствия «Росатома», которое сегодня насчитывает более 60 стран.
Пространство «Атомариум» на третьем наземном этаже насыщено образовательной инфраструктурой, а одной из точек притяжения юных посетителей стала научно-просветительская лаборатория. Между холлом и лаунж-зоной находится Аллея знаний: здесь посетители узнают о том, как у великих людей случались внезапные озарения. Например, Альберт Эйнштейн сформулировал теорию относительности, проезжая на трамвае мимо башенных часов. А Исаак Ньютон впервые задумался о гравитации, сидя под яблоней. Правда, яблоко упало не на голову ученому, а рядом с ним.
Можно посмотреть экспозицию музея самостоятельно, а можно — с обзорной экскурсией. Для детей здесь устраивают квесты и интерактивные экскурсии.
